Subject: Yom Kippur
Shalom, Yom Kippur is either this Shabbat or the first day of the week, depending on whether you count the first day of the month to be when the moon should have been seen or when it was seen; it was seen the day after it should have been seen. It was interesting to see the sukkot that the Jews built for the celebration. They are single rooms, mostly with wooden sides and covered over with palm branches. The celebration will last for seven days.
My test is scheduled for Monday. Michael

Shalom, The test went very well. God willing I will be leaving for Jordan tomorrow morning and returning on Thursday. I don't know if I will have access to the Internet. I had a very good Yom Kippur, I read a lot of scripture and slept a lot.

Subject: We are well
Shalom, Yahweh brought us back safely, thanks be to Him. We stayed in a nice cheap place in the city outside Petra. We walked through the Siq, the horses and carriages go too fast through there. We took a lot of pictures, but my camera batteries died in Petra. So, I need to get pictures from the other two. Today is the first day of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), Chag Sameach! (Happy Holiday!). We had a good trip. Michael |
