Subject: Tour of Ceasarea (March 14 Friday)
Shalom everyone,
I hope that all is well. Last Friday I went on a day tour which was arranged by the Hebrew University. We visited Caesarea which is where a Roman port city on the Mediterranean used to be. A guide showed us the theater, Herod's palace, the hippodrome, the Roman bath house, and the Crusader city. The hippodrome used to be a race track, but was later converted to an amphitheater for gladiatorial fights.
After the tour, we headed down the beach and visited the aqueduct that used to bring fresh water to the city. Lastly, we drove south to a place on the beach with a horse renting business. Once there, we were put on horses and taken for a long ride along the Mediterranean Sea. It was a very good time.
May God bless you all,
Michael |
